Step 2

Consult with a licensed provider

A licensed healthcare provider will review your assessment and determine whether treatment is appropriate. If your state requires a live video or phone consultation before a prescription can be issued, that consultation will be completed as part of your evaluation. If treatment is appropriate and permitted under applicable law, your provider may prescribe medication.

Step 3

Receive Your Medication

If your provider prescribes medication, your prescription will be sent to a licensed pharmacy for fulfillment. Once dispensed, your medication will be shipped to your address with free tracked shipping.

The nextmeds membership is available to residents of all 50 U.S. states. Provider availability and prescribing authority vary by state. Your assigned provider will be licensed in your state of residence.

A licensed provider will review your health evaluation and conduct a telehealth consultation, which may take place via live video or through an asynchronous provider review, as determined by your provider and in accordance with the telehealth laws of your state. If the provider determines that treatment is appropriate, a prescription will be sent to a licensed pharmacy for fulfillment. Typical processing and delivery time is approximately 4–5 business days. Your care team is available throughout your membership at care@nextmeds.com

No. The nextmeds membership is a self-pay healthcare service and does not require insurance. Flexible payment options are available.

GLP-1 receptor agonists are a class of medications originally developed for type 2 diabetes that are also used for weight management in certain patients. The compounded versions available through the nextmeds membership have not been evaluated for safety, efficacy, or quality. Your provider will evaluate your medical history, current medications, and contraindications (including a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2 syndrome) to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you.

You may pause or cancel your membership at any time. If you and your provider decide to discontinue GLP-1 treatment, your provider may recommend a tapering schedule. Weight regain after discontinuation is common and your provider can discuss strategies for long-term weight management.

Your nextmeds membership includes telehealth consultations with a licensed provider, a personalized care plan, prescription fulfillment if appropriate, and shipping. All pricing is displayed in our pricing section.

You must be at least 18 years of age to enroll in the nextmeds membership. GLP-1 medications are not prescribed to individuals under 18 through this platform.

Because GLP-1s for weight management are indicated for obesity or overweight with a related condition, your clinician will reassess and may adjust dosing, shift to maintenance, or pause/discontinue depending on your health goals and risk factors.
